Singapore is beautiful. Its sunrise, its sunset, its rivers, its hills…











Been chillin’ these few days. Procrastinating, rather. Ever since my mum left Singapore I have no mood to study at all :( I just wanna enjoy these hard-to-get two weeks before she returns! Hmm maybe that’s what happens when you are under authoritarian rule. But it’s okay, as in I am not really having a tiff with my parents or anything.

Went to Vivocity to mug yesterday. Then I saw Xueyuan there. So we did some gossip-sharing I guess? That caused me not to be in the mood of mugging again. So after she left, I left Starbucks too and went exploring Club Street and Ang Siang Hill. Lotta babes there, not my type though…

By the way White Chocolate Frappe (as Xueyuan calls it) is damn nice. I just tried it at Starbucks near my house and it tastes SUPERB! Thanks brother for recommending such good stuff for me. Normally I go Starbucks to drink tea (!!!) but from now on I will order this frappe thingy.

Tomorrow seems to Mr Low’s birthday. Or may not. Hmm. I have no idea. Shall ask him tomorrow.
This shall be an English blog, so I that I have an excuse to make my Wretch blog a completely Chinese one (sorry Paul, if u see this). Ciaos for the debut here.

You realise my life is basically just Eusoff Hall right? And a bit of school. 所以2017年，我真的需要感谢你吗？ 1. I returned from exchange in Tainan. It was a shithole no doubt, and landed me with really bad 扁桃腺炎 (tonsillitis, where your tonsils gets really rotten and you see yellow shit at the back of your throat). I was so sick of the place that I took the immediate flight back to Singapore in the afternoon after my morning finals paper. Tough life. Okay lah the grades not bad. After all it is supposed to be SU but I am glad I put in enough effort. What to do, the Taiwanese think that Singaporeans are damn perfect so I really need to prove them right. 累死林北了啦。 2. And I didn’t know I can play music. Hahaha. [Okay warning, allow me to haolian a bit can.] So… I tried A Cappella and did a little gig at NJC Talentime this year. Really scary but fun. Intern 十日新人 ​

Just ended a 10-day (actually it’s 11 but whatever, I’m an Arts student so I am assumed to be unable to process numbers beyond 9) internship. It was an amazing process of self-discovery I swear. 带了一群大学新鲜人过来我们公司参加十天的商业竞赛，其间还在民丹岛待了三天。 这短短十天真是充满了发现自我的时刻——发现自己的特长、弱点，种种。 Leading a team of interns is nothing like leading a Hall or a student society, because the stakeholders are very different. You’re no longer just responsible to organisational entities but also responsible to tangible successes, which is basically KPIs like profit or manpower. Multi-tasking have reached a new level for myself. Being someone who is extremely haphazard (and messy), leading a team while staying focused on track on what I am supposed to do already as a financial advisor is pretty challenging. 革命尚未成功，林北仍需努力。非常努力。 Being friends and co-workers at the same time brings your relationship to a whole new level. I guess one of the biggest realisation for myself is my lack of patience. I guess the past few years in Hall
