Mingguan
Many things happen these two weeks le lah. VERY VERY VERY HAPPENING. Seriously.
1. I expressed interest as Guards Specialist. These two weeks once my uni application is here I will be forever defending Singapore with my life. ORD Date: 04/12/2047. Kinda long huh, now I wonder how to find wife. Hahahaha.
2. Went to do some running with Daniel Stephen. The 5km race. Quite fun and entertaining. Seeing Daniel trying to chiong timing against a ACS girl is pretty funny haha. Then we went for some dimsum brunch at Upper Thomson Rd. I never knew Upper Thomson Road 5.5 miles is called 合巴淡申律五条半石 in Chinese… Wondering what dialect it is…. Haha. The dimsum is a bit ex, $2 per plate, but very nice. And got the very ancient （古早）feel. I miss Malaysia.
3. Went to the Art Museum. Luckily not in SMART 4, haha. Would have been very AA to do so. Tickets costed me $10, but it is really worth the journey. Ming Wong represented Singapore in the Venice Biennale (or is it Vienna? Not impt lah) and clinched a Champion for us. A LIFE OF IMITATIONS:
Then got this FX Hartono guy, Indonesian Chinese, who had strong emotions against the Orde Baru back then in 1997 and now having strong emotions of himself picking up his Chinese roots.
Then got this Asian realism art exhibition. Very hard for me to describe in English lah, basically it’s just about how contemporary Asian artists mix their anti-colonialism and national pride into their works.
Then I made friends with this angmoh lady who is a "Fashion Consultant". Don’t know what is that lah, maybe when I don’t know what to wear for booking in then I call her up? Hahahaha. But I am sure my English improved, I didn’t use LAH LOR LEH for the entire conversation.
4. Okay, the week after, went clubbing. Yeah you guys should know already huh, I lost my field pack. I went to Police HQ to report loss. But then I got it back straight after I left the building. Nabeh right. Luckily I had my Leopard Company number in my diary.
Yeah. He read my diary. But never mind, he called Leopard Company. Then Leopard called me. Then….. I 吃饱没事儿做 walk from Outram Park via Chinatown down to Vivocity. Haha. Damn lot of time to kill before booking in:
永定 is somewhere in Fujian lah, people there mostly Hakkas, the most famous one being the Aw brothers who made that Tiger Balm thingy, that keeps my awake everyday.
硕莪 is sago. Can tell ya?
5. Learnt new Malay commands. DAMN HARD AH…. THE SEQUENCE SO DAMN LONG DAMN HARD TO REMEMBER SIA…….
Looks cheem? Heh heh. That is only the first part. Behind still got some more ah…. What nombor ganjil ke hadapan, nombor genap ke belakang………. POWERKILL SIA. At this rate of standing under the sun, my hair will become some lao botak in no time.
6. I AM A FOREST MAN, AKA ORANG UTAN. Had some navigation stuff, quite shiok. I love bashing through forests, and climbing hills. There is this Peng Kang Hill 秉江山 that is awesome. Haha. Shan’t disclose much here, but hikers will definitely love this job. TOTALLY. The only scary part is that lightning striked the knoll that was only 50m away from me. OMG. 天打雷劈。 Hahaha really scary leh. I don’t want to die like that leh.
7. Ran like some FXXX today. Training myself for the 25km run next fortnight. Want to die liao lah. Today too amibitious le, wasn’t too prepared, on my return route, at Bugis I want to die liao. Sigh.
IPPT GOLD AGAIN. Smelling my $200. Heh heh. I AM IN REAL NEED OF CASH. MY CASH FLOWS OUT OF MY POCKET JUST LIKE HOW THE YANGTZE RIVER FLOWS. 恰似一江春水向东流，一去不复返，江河日下，一泻千里，滔滔不绝。Sialah.
